There's certainly a large scope for renewables, alright, but for obvious reasons they can't provide all of our power (in the short/medium term anyway). A reduction in consumption (including an increase in efficiency), a move towards renewables and, where possible, the rapid implementation of carbon caputure and storage would seem to be the best approach right now.
